I recently had the opportunity to photograph the amazing young beekeeper, Orren Fox, 15, and his bee hives in Newburyport, MA for the Boston Globe. Check out the article here.

We went to open the bee hives for the first time in the season, and were disappointed to see that all of the bees were dead – there were signs that mice had ravaged the hives, killing all of the bees and eating the wax. Since then, he’s gotten more bees, which I’m sure are thriving and will produce fantastic honey for this fall’s harvest…
